What is this qualification?
The course has replaced the PTLLS level 3 and is the latest and most up to date qualification is the education and training field.

Duration of course
The course can be completed within 6-8 weeks. However, we allow up to six months for this course to be achieved.

Is this course suitable for me and who is it for?
• The course is ideal if you want to teach learners in a small group or one to one.
• If you need a nationally recognised teaching qualification
• If you are teaching/training or supporting learners in the following areas: Staff training and mentoring, Client coaching and consulting, Youth work, Project worker, Private tutor guides, Careers advice and guidance, one-to-one training, train in an industry or post-16 sector (adult education)

Our students teach in a variety of different sectors including the following: Beauty therapy, hairdressing, counselling, health and safety, first aid, driving, mechanical engineering, technology, cake decorating, baking, textiles and group tuition.

How am I assessed?
Distance learning- You will be contacted by your allocated assessor who will explain the course content and evidence required to achieve the course. You will complete all assignment’s at home and plan a mirco-teach. You are required to deliver a 15 minute micro teach, this will be observed by Skype or video. Support is always available via the telephone, Skype and email. All students are welcome to arrange additional visits with their assessor by Skype for additional support at no extra cost.

Entry requirements
There are no formal entry requirements. However, students must have a qualification or experience in the area they want to teach.

Duration of course
The course duration is 6 months.

Is this course suitable for me and who is it for?
• The course is for students that are in a teaching role, want to update their skills and wish to gain a level 4 recognised teaching qualification.
• To teach a group of students and to apply for work in a college.
• For trainee teachers and tutors working in the FE sector.
• Those working as assessors and want to gain a teaching qualification.

How am I assessed?

Your assessor will arrange a convenient time to visit you at your chosen workplace or observations can be arranged by Skype or video. Students must be working is a teaching/ supporting role and have at least a level 3 PTLLS or the Award in Education and Training level 3.

What is this qualification?
The course has replaced the DTLLS level 5 and is the latest and most up to date qualification is the education and training field. This qualification is the highest qualification to gain to achieve QTLS status (Qualified teacher learning and skills) to teach is schools and FE colleges.
Duration of course
We allow up to one year for this course to be achieved.

Is this course suitable for me and who is it for?
The course is intended for those teaching adults and children, specialising is literacy and numeracy qualifications, ESOL, special education needs. The qualification is equivalent to a PGCE (Post- Graduate certificate in Education)

How am I assessed?
You will be contacted by your allocated assessor who will explain the course content and evidence required to achieve the course. You will complete all assignments at home and plan a number mirco teach sessions as well as a one to one and group teaching sessions. Your assessor will arrange a convenient time to visit you at your chosen workplace or observed by Skype or video. Support is always available via the telephone, Skype and email and you can always arrange additional visits with your assessor for additional support at no extra cost.
