The Certificate in Education and Training has been specifically designed for the 19+ age groups, this certificate is designed to equip a wide range of teachers/trainers and facilitators with the requisite skills and knowledge required to fulfil a teaching role. The course content covers planning, delivery, assessment and the use of resources. You will also gain teaching delivery skills and participate in teaching sessions, evaluation skills and techniques also form part of the course content. This qualification provides a sound introduction to teaching/training and is suitable for both experienced practitioners who would like to secure a professionally recognised qualification as well as those new to teaching.
The course will give you a fundamental understanding of the roles and responsibilities of a teacher/trainer in relation to legislation, equality, diversity and meeting the needs of learners. You will be able to use initial and diagnostic assessments and plan and deliver inclusive teaching and learning. You will also be able to assess learning and use appropriate resources to support effective learning.
You should be qualified/experienced in the subject you wish to teach at least Level 3, with good levels of language, literacy and numeracy. You should be IT literate. You will undertake an initial assessment of your skills in English and mathematics. You must have access to 30 hours of teaching. This qualification is also suitable for those delivering education and training in any learning environment.
How long is the Certificate in Education and Training?
The course is delivered within 4-6 months, at your own pace that suits you via by e learning. You will be required to visit our offices for an introduction to the course to meet your assessor and plan suitable days for your allocated assessor to visit you at your place of work.
